Common Name The Southern Chines Habenaria - In China Bao Ye Yu Ffeng Hua

Found in southern China and Thailand in damp areas in forests along valleys at elevations of 700 to 1400 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial orchid with narrowly ellipsoid, fleshy tubers giving rise to an erect, terete, stout, pubescent stem carrying 3 to 5, below the middle, narrowly elliptic to oblong-oblanceolate, relatively thin, acuminate apically, contracted below into the amplexicaul sheathing base leaves and grading above in to 9 to 13, bractlike leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, pubescent, 3.6 to 5.6" [9 to 14 cm] long, racemose, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, shorter than the ovary, ciliate, acuminate apically floral bracts.
