Found in Minas Gerais, SaoPaulo, Parana' and Rio do Sul states of Brazil as a small to giant sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by leafbearing sheaths carrying erect, lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the late summer on an erect, terminal, to 10" [25 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acuminate, shorter to the same length as the ovary floral bracts.
