Common Name The Mountain Loving Habenaria

Flower Size .8 to 1.6" [2 to 4 cm] long

Found in central & southwestern Mexico in deciduous tropical forests and thorny bush at elevations of 870 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with ovoid to globose tubers giving rise to an erect, leafy stem carrying 9 to 11, elliptic to narrowly elliptic, ascending to extending leaves that blooms in the summer through fall on an erect, racemose, 4.8 to 6" [12 to 15 cm] long, 9 to 11 flowered inflorescence.
