Common Name Peteloti's Habenaria - In China Lie Ban Yu Feng Hua

Flower Size 1.2 to 1.32" [3 to 3.3 cm]

Found in south China, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam in forests along valleys at elevations of 300 to 2700 meters as a medium sized, hot to cold growing terrestrial with oblong, fleshy tubers giving rise to an erect, terete to stout, stem carrying 5 to 6, elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate apically contracted below into the amplexicaul sheathing base leaves and with many bract-like leaves above that blooms in the spring, summer and early fall on an erect, 4 to 13.2" [10 to 33 cm] long, laxly 5 to 12 flowered inflorescence.

Kew adds Habenaria hosokawae Fukuy 1934 as a synonym of this species but If I have the 2 determinations correct then they are 2 separate species.
