Found in Minas Gerias state of Brazil in rocky grasslands as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a thin, erect stem enveloped by imbricating, leafbearing sheaths grading larger above, linear-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, amplexicaul and basally clasping leqaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, erect, slightly sinuous, 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm ]long, many flowered inflorescence
