Found in Papua and New Guinea in montane forests at elevations of 450 to 1000 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with 5/8" to 7/8" [1.5 to 2.3] between each cyclindric pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to elliptic-ligulate, subacute and minutely apiculate leaf that blooms in the late spring and winter on a basal, sessile, very short single flowered inflorescence that have scarious basal bracts and arising on mature psuedobulbs.
