Common Name The Beautiful Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 3.5" [8.5 cm]
Found in the forests of New Guinea as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte at elevations around 800 meters with conical-cylindric pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, eret, oblong-ligulate, obtuse, minutely apiculate, narrowly subpetiolate leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 4 1/2" [12 cm] long inflorescence with an elliptic, subacute floral bract and carrying a single, large, showy flower.
