A miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte from Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia low down on exposed branches of small shrubs in montane cloud forests at altitudes of 1600 to 2400 meters that is a small stemless plant with linear, fleshy, equitant, distichious, terete foliage that gives rise to an axillary, laterally flattened, erect to arcuate, few to several, successive flowered inflorescence arising at any time of the year and culture is similar to Orinthocephalus. The flowers are held well above the leaves and are quite large for the size of the plant.
