Common Name The Pine Needle-Leafed Holcoglossum

Flower Size 1 5/8" [4 cm]

Found in Taiwan at elevations around 2200 meters as a miniature sized, monopodial, cool growing epiphyte with a spreading stem enveloped by sheathing leaf-bases carrying needle like, v-shaped in cross-section, linear, acute leaves which are articulated to the broad, short, imbricate, basal leaf sheaths that blooms on an axillary, slender, arching-pendant, 8" [20 cm] long, one to many flowered, racemose inflorescence with ovate, acute bracts occuring in the late winter till spring with flowers that are quite large for the size of the plant.
