Found in Cape Province and Natal South Africa at elevations of 1800 to 2000 meters in cooler forests in deep shade as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 2, ovate, broadly cordate, upper smaller, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on a terminal, erect, 6 to 20 flowered inflorescence
