Common Name The Beautiful Huttonaea

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found only in eastern South Africa at elevations 1000 to 1800 meters in forest patches on steep, southwestern slopes with a summer rainfall season in deep shade as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with an erect stem carrying 2, the lower larger, cordate, elliptic, the upper smaller, spreading, soft, petiolate base entirely sheathing leaves that blooms in the late summer on a terminal, erect, laxly, 6 to 20 flowered inflorescence
