Common Name The Giant Sudamerlycaste

Found in Colombia and Ecuador in unknown localities as a giant sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with large pseudobulbs bearing small, blunt spines and carrying 3, plicate leaves and blooms in the summer on an erect, 17.2 to 24" [43 to 60 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence and carrying a fragrant flower.
