Common Name The Terete-Leafed Jumellea
Flower Size 1 3/8" to 1 5/8" [3 to 4 cm]
Found in eastern Madagascar in humid evergreen moss forests at elevations of 1300 to 2000 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte without a stem but with 5 to 7 terete, subulate-subobtuse, rigid leaves, that blooms in the spring on a slender, 4 3/4" to 10" [12 to 25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence enveloped basally by 3 narrowly appressed sheaths and tubular, shortly acuminate floral bracts.
