Found in Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 700 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a fan shaped growth consisting of several, grading into leaf bracts, oblanceolate to narrowly elliptic, elongate, conduplicate, distichous, acuminate, acute to minutely apiculate, basally petiolate leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on multiple, axillary, laxly pendant, terete, 2.4" [6 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence subtended by 2 floral bracts, the larger almost envelop\ing the peduncle and is ovate reniform.
