Found in Peru occuring at elevations of 700 to 2300 meters in wet montane forests as a small sized, cool to warm growing, fan-shaped, caespitose epiphyte without psuedobulbs with lanceolate, acute, leaves that are conduplicate at the base and articulated to the leaf sheaths where it blooms on an axillary, laxly pendant, single flowered inflorescence held below the leaves with 2, close, basal bracts and 2, subopposite floral bracts occuring intermittently throughout the year.
