Common Name The Hair-Covered Kefersteinia

Found in Ecuador and Peru as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing, caespitose epiphyte found in moist, cool cloudforest that occurs at elevations of 2200 to 2500 meters with a fan shaped growth made up of imbricate, conduplicate, leaf-bearing sheaths carrying linear, subpetiolate, acuminate leaves and blooms on an axillary, pendant, single flowered inflorescence held below the leaves and having minute bracts occuring sporadically throughout the year but especially in the summer.
