Common Name Brade's Laelia [Polish curator of Rio de Janiero botanical garden 1900's]
Flower Size .8" [2 cm]
Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in cracks and crevasses of rock outcropings at elevations of 1100 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, "rupicolous" lithophyte with cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, elliptic, fleshy leaves with incurved margins that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, 2 1/4" [6 cm] long, laxly few flowered inflorescence.
