Common Name The Mantiqueira Laelia [Brazilian Mountain Range]

Flower Size 1 3/4" [4 to 5 cm]

Found in Minas Gerias state of Brazil found at elevations around 1000 to 1800 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing "rupicolous" lithophyte that blooms in the fall and winter until spring in northern cultivation on a short to tall, several [7+] flowered inflorescence.

Best grown in baskets of chopped treefern in cool temperatures, good air circulation and bright light, as well as a dry rest in the winter

Found to be the same species as L caulescens in recent years and it has precidence as it was described first.
