Common Name Green Flowered Laelia
Found in southeastern Brazil in shady primitive forests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a semi-cleistogamous or partially opening flower, medium sized, cool growing epiphyte that is not seen very often with laterally compressed, fusiform, dark green, smooth pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, dark green, leathery, deeply keeled, ovate, acute leaf that blooms in the fall on a terminal, 4" [10 cm] long, to 5 flowered inflorescence arising through a sheath.
