Found in central Madagascar in evergreen forests at elevations of 2000 to 2200 meters as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with a 12 to 18" [30 to 50 cm] long stem carrying 6 to 15, conduplicate below, strap-shaped, obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the late summer on an erect, then pendant, 8 to 12 " [20 to 30 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence
