Common Name Adriana's Lepanthes [Named for Adriana Sijm, wife of A.P. Sijm of Venhuizen, The Netherlands current]

Found in Huanuco department of Peru without collection data as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 7 to 9 lepanthiform sheaths with acuminate ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, dark green, purple beneath, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, slightly acuminatte, convex, microscopically verrucose, margined, cuneate and contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on an erect, borne on top of the leaf, peduncle .2 to .24" [5 to 6 mm] long, congested, secund, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with half as long as the pedicel floral bracts.

CAUTION Every photo on the net that I can find with this name is in error. The much photographed orchid is actually L sijmii. The TYPE drawing above is absolutely correct.
