Common Name The Almolonga Lepanthes [A valley in Guatemala]

Found in Chiapas state of Mexico and Guatemala in cloud forests at elevations of 2400 to 2900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, flexuous ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 7, muricate-dentate lepanthiform sheaths with papilose-verrucose ostia carrying a single, apical, elliptic, acute and tridentate apically, lightly arcuate, fleshy, intense green, axialmente sulcate, slightly twisted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring and earlier summer on 2 to 6, filiform, terete, to .84" [to 21 mm] long, mostly on the top of the leaf, distichous, sinuous, more congested towards the apex, successively single to 10 flowered inflorescence
