Found in Morona-Santiago Ecuador at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a pendant, branching rhizome giving rise to ramicauls enveloped by a long-ciliate lepanthiform sheath and carrying a single, apical, pendant, thickly coriaceous, log-ciliate, elliptical, subacute leaf and contracted below into the ramicaul that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a, .6" [ 1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul with a long-spiculate floral bract
