Common Name The Chiriqui Lepanthes [A Province of Panama]

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Panama in cloud forests at elevations around 1300 to 2200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphytic species with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 1 to 3, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, tridenticulate apically, gradually narrowing below into the narrow, cuneate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, to .2" [to 5 mm] long, successively single, few flowered, racemose inflorescence.

"This specis may be recognozed by the little ovate leaves with a short, congested raceme. The lateral sepals are connate to near the apices, the trnasversely oblong petals are minute and the lobes of the lip are smaller than the column," Luer 1984 as L microtica
