Common Name Dunsterville's Lepanthes [American Orchid Collector and enthusiast Venezuela later 1900's]
Flower Size 1/8" [.3 cm]
Found in Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 2600 to 3200 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect ramicals enveloped by several lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate, apically bilobed, 3, nerved, dark green above, blue green below leaf that blooms in the spring on a successively few flowered inflorescence that arises on the back of the leaf.
