Common Name or Meaning The Hedgehog-Like Lepanthes

Found in Costa Rica at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped completely by 6 to 10 lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the cuneate base leaf that blooms in winter and spring on a 1/2" [1.25 cm] long, successively few, several flowered inflorescence held behind the leaf
