Found in Valle de Cauca department of Colombia in cloud forests at elevations below 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold, pendent growing epiphtye with a ramicaul enveloped by 5 to 7, apically enlarged, trumpet-like, ciliate ribbed and margins, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, pendent, greyish green, coriaceous, ovate-oblong, densely spiculate-pubescent, marginally densely cilate, apically apiculate, rounded below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on 1 to 2 simultaneous, slender, congested, [1.05 to 1.7 cm] long including the .02 to .08" [.05 to 2 mm] long peduncle, successively several to many flowered inflorescence
