Common Name Kuijt's Lepanthes [Canadian Botanist and codiscoverer of species current]

Flower Size .24" [6mm]

Found in Pinchincha Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 1650 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 7 to 10, minutely ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thinly coricaeous, suffused with purple beneath, ovate, acute, shortly acuminate, rounded and contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a filiform, congested, 1.28" [3 cm] long, successively flowered inflorescence arising on top of the leaf with cilate floral bracts.
