Common Name Nagel's Lepanthes [German Orchid Collector in Mexico 1900's]

Found in Oaxaca Mx., 2164m elev., Cerro San Filipe, epiphytic with many other Orchid species

Found in Michoacan, Guerrero, Mexico, Morelos and Oaxaca states of Mexico in oak and pine, humid montane forests and wet cloud forests on banks at elevations of 1900 to 2700 meters as a repent, miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with reclining to pendant ramicauls enveloped by 6 or so lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic, obtuse to slightly bilobed, gradually narrows below into the base leaf and blooms in the summer and fall on a very short, successively single, to 16 flowered inflorescence
