Common Name Steyermark's Lepanthes [American Botanist in Venezuela 1900's]

Found in northwestern Venezuela and northeastern Colombia at elevations around 2475 to 2600 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped completely by 9 or so lepanthiform sheaths with dilated sotia and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, reticulate nerved, sometimes well marked in purple, rounded basally acuminate leaf that blooms on 1 to 2, .8" [2 cm] long, racemose, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising on the front and shorter than the leaf.
