Common Name The Leafless Liparis

Found in Colombia, Ecuador and northwestern Peru in cold montane cloud forests in loose mosses at elevations of 2600 to 3300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing, saprophytic terrestrial with a subglobose pseudobulb enveloped by a basal, foliaceous, green sheath that blooms in the summer on racemose, erect, 3.12" [7.8 cm] long overall, peduncle, slender, 1.6" [4 cm] long, rachis weakly flexuous, distichous, 1.52" [3.8 cm] long, successively 1 to 2, to 6 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, green, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying widely opening, resupinate, non fragrant flowers..
