Found in E Ecuador and Peru in wet lower montane forests at elevations around 200 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a fan of distichous, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying conduplicate, obliquely elliptic, acute leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, terete, to 1.2" [3 cm] long, most often successively 2 flowered inflorescence.
