Found in Costa Rica and Panama as a mini-miniature sized sized, hot growing epiphyte with a fan of leaves around a compressed, obovoid-ellipsoid pseudobulb enveloped basally by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, equitant, sessile, linear-lanceoalte to ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaf that blooms in the late summer and fall on a simple, sub-umbellate, racemose to paniculate, each sub-umbellate branch carrying 5 to 6 flowers, to 2.4" [to 6 cm] long, several flowereed inflorescence
