Found in Arizona, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras in deciduous forests as a miniature to medium sized terrestrial with a globose pseudobulbous growth giving rise to a single, apical, erect, cordiforme basally, ovate, obtuse to acute, conduplicate into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, 8" [20 cm] long, subumbellate several flowered inflorescence with the flowers all held at the apex
