Found in Papua and New Guinea as a small sized, hot growing, monopodial epiphyte at elevations of 100 to 300 meters in deep shade on a small branch of small trees in open seasonal rainforests with a densely leafed stem carrying, linear, obliquely obtuse apically leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a lateral, decurved to descending, 1 3/8" to 2" [4 to 5 cm] long, several [12] flowered inflorescence with 3 sheathing bracts from which arise wide open, sweetly fragrant, longlasting flowers.
