Found in SE Ecuador at elevations around 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute to obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a horizontal, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a basal bract and a tubular floral bract
