Found in central Ecuador as a miniature sized, presumed epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a slender, suberect, sharply triquetrous, 6 to 7.6" [15 to 19 cm] long, congested, successively several flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul, with a bract near the base and imbricating floral bracts.
