Found in Ecuador in cloud forests at altitudes of 1400 to 2800 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte and sometimes terrestrial orchid with slender, erect, green with purple dots ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 close, tubular sheaths carrying a single, apcial, erect, coriaceous, petiolate, elliptical, subacute leaf that is gradually narrowed below into the channeled petiole which blooms on a slender, erect, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract below the middle and an inflated floral bract.
