Found in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador in rainforests at elevations around 100 to 1000 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3, loose tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the channeled petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring, summer and fall on a horizontal, slender, 3.6 to 8" [9 to 20 cm] long, subcongested, successively few flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul, with 3 distant bracts and tublar floral bracts.
