Found in Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, French Guiana, Guyana, Ecuador and Northern Brazil in rainforests at elevations of 50 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with minute, compressed pseduobulbs enveloped baslly by 2 leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms on an axilalry, 1" [2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising on an immature growth and enveloped completely by 4, tubular, chartaceous, imbricating sheaths.
