Found in Brazil as a large sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, ovoid to globose, slightly compressed, sulcate with age pseudobulbs and has 2, linear-ligulate, obtuse leaves that blooms in the late fall and winter in situ, on 2 to 4, erect, 3 to 4 3/4" " [7.5 to 12 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by 2 distant, acuminate, sheaths and holding the fragrant long-lasting flowers amid or below the leaves.
