Found in Colombia with elliptic, compressed pseduobulbs completely enveloped by foliaceous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, oblong-elliptic, acute, arching, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on 1 to 3, horizontal, single flowered, shorter inflorescence enveloped by elliptic, tubular, inflated, acute, keeled floral bracts that surpass the ovary in length.
