Found in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Queensland Australia in swamp forests and rainforests in exposed locations at elevations of 450 to 800 meters as a small to just medium sized, hot growing epiphyte that blooms in the fall on an erect, lax, scaley pubescent, apically fractiflex, few to several flowered inflorescence with triangular, obtuse floral bracts and has wide opening non-resupinate, fragrant flowers.
