Found in Malaysia and Java as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters in forests with a pendant stem carrying narrowly lanceolate, very acute, spaced leaves that blooms in the spring on a short, axillary, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.

This species is most easily distinguished from other species in Java as the acute leaves do not overlap at the base.
