Common Name The Sand Loving Microtis - Notched Onion Orchid

Found in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania at elevations of sea level to 500 meters in coastal habotats in sand or well drained clay loams as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms on an erect, to 20" [50 cm] tall, 10 to 60 flowered inflorescence with successively opening, crowded flowers occuring in the spring.
