Common Name Roezl's Miltoniopsis [English Orchid Collector Colombia 1800's]
Flower Size 3 to 4" [7 to 8 cm]
A cold to warm growing, small sized epiphytic orchid that needs even watering and fertilizing year round with flattened, ovate, grey green pseudobulbs subtended by several distichous, imbricate, foliar sheaths and has a single, narrowly-oblong, gray green leaf that will bloom in the summer and fall on an erect, resupinate, racemose, to 12" [30 cm] long, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb with fragrant flowers that has lanceolate bracts and is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Panama in wet tropical forests at altitudes ranging from 200 to 1000 meters.
