Found from Sikkim to Thailand, Malaysia to Sumatra in wet montane forests at elevations of 1200 to 1700 meters as a small sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte with cordate, fleshy shaped leaves with an acute apex and 5 main veins that blooms in the spring on a 10" [25 cm] long inflorescence with 4 to 8 flowers. Most likely the correct name is M wrayanum as it was published first as Ipsea wrayanum in 1890
