Found in Peru and Bolivia in low wet montane forests at elevations around 650 to 690 meteres as a medium growing, hot growing epiphyte with coni-cylindric pseudobulbs without leaves at blooming which occurs in the late summer on a mature pseudobulb on an erect, racemose, green with rose, 8" [20 cm] long, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with greenish-white, ovate, much shorter than the ovaries floral bracts
