Found in Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas states of Mexico, El Salvador and Honduras at elevations around 1000 to 1700 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with fusiform, lightly compressed pseudobulbs enveloped by imbricate, distichous, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying several distichous, plicate, three nerved leaves held towards teh apex that bloom sin the late spring and early summer on a basal, erect to horizontal, terete, green, to 12.8" [32 cm] long, to 15 flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers
