Found in Para' Brazil in Amazon rainforests at elevations around 5 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with ovoid-fusiform, close set, several noded pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by several, imbricate sheaths and carrying numerous, plicate, acute, narrowing below into the canaliculate, pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on an erect, from the nodes on the lower half of the pseudobulb, to 11.2" [28 cm] long, to 18+ flowered inflorescence and carrying fragrant flowers
